Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Asking date of birth tends to get more accurate answers.

I noticed in the small print that it was only free if your car was less than 16hp (Even the Model T was more powerful than that)
Was that actually real or a spoof?

It’s real. But it refers to tax horsepower, not actual engine output.
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_horsepower
The tax horsepower rating was computed not from actual engine power but by a mathematical formula based on cylinder dimensions. At the beginning of the twentieth century, tax power was reasonably close to real power; as the internal combustion engine developed, real power became larger than nominal taxable power by a factor of ten or more.

No, the other arm. The one that is definitely hers.

I could be wrong, but I think it's airborne and it would probably transmit like the other types of flu. It could easily mutate, mind you.

I demand these 2 be demodded immediately. They are obviously not Irish and know nothing of Ireland.

Every Irish man woman and child knows the cure for flu is flat 7up or white lemonade if you were poor.

3 liters of Cavan spring lemonade could see a family of 9 through the harshest of winter flus back in the day.
