Ive just heard 2 unusually loud aircraft over north mayo in the last 20 mins
I don't see anything unusual on flightradar.
    Any ideas?

    What direction were they going?
    Flying close together?

Flight radar 24 suggests a couple of 747s passed over.
    Could be them.

I see the 747s but plenty of them go over here. Maybe it was them but sounded mad loud today. Very very noisy. I thought maybe something military. About 15 mins apart maybe.

Four USAF C-130s departed Belfast heading west. Suspect that's what you heard.

    That would be it.
There was a 3rd but nowhere near as loud.

You probably already know, but FR24 does not show any proper Military, in fact it rarely shows any at all.

Best bet is to watch here:

    https://global.adsbexchange.com/VirtualRadar/desktop.html

NB they will only show if they want to be seen.

Click MENU, then OPTIONS, go to the FILTERS tab, select ENABLE FILTERS & then select enable MILITARY, then go to the map & only military should be visible.

    Good F/book here also:
