Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

6080 are a great tractor. Good powering them. If it’s a 50k transmission at about 7k hours the bearing for top gear has to be done. Front suspension can be a bit troublesome to keep it working

Big job for the top bearing?

Which gear box would give the least amount of trouble.
What would be the equivalent in case.
    I'm not a tractor man.

To be honest, a second hand tractor of that size is a lottery. when they were bought new, they were bought to work hard. In my view you would want to be handy enough with them or you could be ringing for a service man every other week.

Range command is the best transmission. There’s a bearing in the front axle that has to be done at the same hours. Front axle bearings is fairly straightforward, one in the transmission costs €600 to do in M&S in Cashel

Got one of this crowd 2 years ago, scan-turbo everything you need in a complete kit including new silencer box and it all fitted perfectly. Made an awful difference to the tractor but you need to turn up the fuel a bit or you won't have any extra power. If you need any more info pm me. Got mine set up on a dyno and it was putting out 130 at the shaft after. Was only 95 before. https://www.assuredperformance.ie/
