Haven't paid any paye for 2021 yet?

    Hey all, newbie here just looking for some insight.

    Im on ewss and have paid tax since that started,now 3 weeks into January iv paid prsi and usc but no paye.
    Does that sound right?

    I know everyones tax is different but not paying paye?

    The EWSS is not connected to your pay ( unlike the previous TWSS ). It's a subsidy direct to the employer.
    If your cumulative tax credits exceed taxable pay then you won't pay tax.
    Also, if someone's pay has dropped and they are getting part on DSP payment if that's not coded in the tax credits could again exceed pay so no tax but the DSP income would need to be taken into account.
    Also there could be a new tax credit being claimed that increases credits and drops tax.
    You'd need to look at your tax credit certs for 2020+2021 and compare.
