Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am attempting to set up a biogas system at home. I am having difficulty locating supplies for a small to medium size bio digester system. Does anyone know an online site where hardware might be available for under a thousand euro.

30 bullocks and whatever the produce. I am reading up on it just now. I am not going to loose my shirt on it. I have been looking at the type of thing the do in Kenya and India. Very resourceful.
Its just when you go looking at hardware, everything seems to be on alibaba. Anything european is done on an industrial scale.

    Did you try these?

They were at the biogas talk in Johnstown Castle a few months back.
Supplying systems even out to the armed forces in Afghanistan.

Jesus that stuff looks so good they'd almost take the fun out of it. I wouldn't mind getting inside some of it though.

The man himself has a plant in a shipping container at his own home in Somerset.
He was/is running it on brewers waste, dung from a pony and occasionally some from the family.

I talked to https://www.quberenewables.co.uk/ . They told me that cattle dung would not produce enough gas to make it worth my while.

Were you put off by that?

I presume they knew you were a farmer or landowner? I'm presuming myself because if you are you could be mixing in maize or rye or clover silage or fresh grass in with your cattle slurry to get your gas.
I'm actually surprised they put you off.
These systems were designed to run on soldiers waste in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If you have horses you'll get more methane off their dung than the cattle dung.
