Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wonder could they nab Constantine from CW for Justice League Dark

Constantine Zatanna and Deadman would be a must for it to work

Who for Zatanna and Deadman. Likely go a Ryan Reynolds type for Deadman.

Finn Wittrock To Headline ‘Green Lantern’ HBO Max Series As Guy Gardner
Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story) has been tapped to star as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern in HBO Max’s upcoming series based on the DC characters, from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Seth Grahame-Smith, Green Lantern reinvents the classic DC property through a story spanning decades and galaxies, beginning on Earth in 1941 with the very first Green Lantern, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott, and 1984, with cocky alpha male Guy Gardner (Wittrock) and half-alien Bree Jarta. They’ll be joined by a multitude of other Lanterns — from comic book favorites to never-before-seen heroes.

Wittrock’s Guy Gardner/Green Lantern is a hulking mass of masculinity, and, as rendered in the comics, an embodiment of 1980s hyper-patriotism. And yet, Guy is somehow likable.

Decent get for them. Berlanti will be beside himself; not only is he exactly the type of actor he likes physically, but
he'd also be a cut above most of the actors Berlanti's worked with.

Definitely got the smugness of Gardner down and the gallows humour too hes a great choice but will red hair suit him.

Man, they really don't like hiring genuine redheads, do they? Speaking as one myself like; it has happened enough times with adaptations that I'm like, huh. That can't be a coincidence :D

    Madame X
HBO Max and J.J. Abrams are doubling down on DC.

The streamer is developing a series based on Madame X, the DC Comics character otherwise known as Madame Xanadu.

It comes from writer and exec producer Angela Robinson, who has worked on series including HBO’s Hung and True Blood and wrote her own Web series at DC Comics.

The character, also known as Nima or Nimue, is a clairvoyant who uses tarot cards to tell the future, she can levitate objects, teleport and banish minor demons. She is immortal, never aging and unable to be killed in any manner, thanks to her deal with Death. She first appeared in 1978, having been designed by Michael William Kaluta with a storyline developed by David Michelinie and Val Mayerik and in later comics has a full time-job as a psychic at a law firm to help solve crimes.

    Back to the drawing board.

‘Green Lantern’ HBO Max Series Shifts Focus; Showrunner Seth Grahame-Smith Exits

HBO Max’s Green Lantern series, which has been in development since 2019, is undergoing a creative overhaul.

DC and HBO Max have decided they want to go in a different direction for the Green Lantern series, which has been in development since 2019, sources tell Deadline. The focus will shift from Guy Gardner and Alan Scott, and will now revolve around John Stewart, one of DC’s first Black superheros and one of the longest-serving Green Lanterns. Additionally, writer-showrunner Seth Grahame-Smith has opted not to stay with the new project, but Berlanti Productions remains attached via its overall deal with WBTV.

Finn Wittrock and Jeremy Irvine had previously been cast as Gardner and Scott, respectively.

Written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Grahame-Smith, the original premise for the series reinvented the classic DC property through a story spanning decades and galaxies, beginning on Earth in 1941 with the very first Green Lantern, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott (Irvine), and 1984, with cocky alpha male Guy Gardner (Wittrock) and half-alien Bree Jarta.

Berlanti Prods. also has DC’s Titans and Doom Patrol on HBO Max and the upcoming Dead Boys Detectives.

The 1966 series of Batman is getting free to air broadcasts on Talking Pictures TV from Saturday week; the 1st of June.

It will air two days a week. It will be on at 9am on Saturday mornings and at 1:25pm on Sunday afternoons.

Also; has anyone been catching up with S3 of Superman & Lois on BBC One lately?

The first couple of episodes regarding Lois illness have been quite powerful viewing to date.

BBC One had actually got this series really late in the UK because S4 of this show has been aired on the US networks already. Are the BBC going to be airing S3 & S4 back to back for their viewers in the UK or is it just S3 only for now? All of the episodes from S3 of Superman & Lois also got online streaming rights to be shown on Amazon Prime Video before they went out on BBC One. Were the S3 episodes shown on Amazon available here in Ireland or is was it for the UK only?
