I still use him in my PL team and also a hybrid team to get green links to Neymar.

He’s got high defensive work rate and 6’2 so decent in air as well but he gets his fair share of goals for me as well

View your active squad and then in the very top right corner, press the green button so it shows the number 2, then look at your squad and at the bottom of each card you will see the small green loyalty shield and manager chem icon.

Allan has a number of things going for him, but its mainly the fact that he is a CDM with High/Medium work rates with 90 aggression (makes him really good at winning the ball) who can dribble. While Llorente is a better player, his high/high workrate means he is more likely to wander up the pitch and get involved in the attack which can leave you open to the counter.

The workrates really do matter a lot more then people realise, even with player instructions.

Im bored so i just jumped on for a game, and was met with an 89ovr team in a 5-4-1 formation, i tipped off, gave the ball to my keeper and not once did my opponent bring a player up to press him, i left, i feel the time has come that i either finish this fifa up, (i dont want to as i like building the squad) but matches gets rewards, or do i embrace these 3 depth drop back tactics, and just go with it, cos im probably not good enough or bothered to try and break it down

You could try a different mode? Career or Pro Clubs? I think some guys here had a Pro club going on in the past but don’t know if it’s still active

i suppose thats what i like with Llorente is that he pops up in useful attacking spots which allan never seems to, but obviously that leaves you more open!

Seems based on "leaks" that Neymar is gonna be the 12th man.....voting hasn't even opened yet so goes to show what a sham that is

It really depends what formation you are using. If you have 2 in midfield its better to have 1 that will sit back and 1 and goes forward a bit more like Llorente. But if you have only 1 CDM I would definitely recommend him sitting deeper.

I saw a few people claiming that it would be Messi and that instead we would get a CAM Neymar is TOTW.

I ran with his first IF for a few weeks and he was awesome for my playstyle. Running a primarily La Liga Team, I can't wait to try him out properly.

That boateng card looks good value for 250ish.

But I’ve already started the bruno sbc so not doing any side ones as it’ll be touch and go to complete bruno, might have to trade slightly coming towards expiry date

The 12th man is a player pick to vote when you load the game.

Messi - Thiago - Son (The cards are in their default positions)

You also get to keep a 1 match Loan card of the player you vote for. So everyone is going to have a loan Messi for friendlies.

Game 1 - losing 0-1 got disconnected and got the loss and game off

Game 2 - 0-0 got disconnected no loss or game off

Game 3 - winning 2-1 got disconnected no win but no game off

What are people thinking with the upgrade packs?

I know La Liga has less options, and getting either Messi or Ramos would be rough, but I'm still tempted to go that path since they'd fit into my team easier than any of the other leagues....

Anyone used TOTY Neuer yet?

At just under 800k and what should be the best keeper in the game, he looks a good way to get Boateng on full chemistry for anyone needing to go down that road.

Although the argument of whether there is much difference between any of the elite keepers comes into play too, especially for that amount of coins!

I was tempted to get Ramos but then I saw a Nealsguides video and he was saying get Alberto's RB icon card and play him at CB. He's one of the best defenders in the game for around 500-600k.

I'm just gonna split between Bundes and Prem Think Bundes has the highest chance of packing one (especially Neuer) but there's very little fodder to pack if you don't get a TOTY, the league only has like 8 85+ cards with the highest rated being 87 Sancho, whereas Prem has over 30 85+ cards including a bunch of 88-90s.

Nope, managerial masterpiece doesn't discriminate on what team you run - you could meet Eredivisie, MLS or Championship teams either but they're rare enough these days.

Iv been tempted by this a few times but I have an awful feeling rbs and lbs get into wierd positions at cb.

Has anyone tried any of the top Icon GK's, e.g. the likes of Cech, VDS, Yashin, Schmeichel.

I'm happy with my team but would like to use my coins to get an Icon GK, mainly just for enjoyment.

Or should I just go for TOTY Neuer for the perfect link to Moments Boateng?

Think I’m going to try Klaiber at CB too now - got to try something to arrest my horrific defending. I can then send Koeman into midfield in place of Gravenberch and bring on Bellerin/Atal/Mukiele at RB

To be honest, i have used him with 10, 7 and 4 chem and it doesnt seem to matter, his speed and strength makes up for it, obviously better with 10 but the difference is not that noticible, so i leave him at CB

Im gonna pair him with De ligt with rulebreaker Dumfries at RB and Sinkgraven at LB when i get him, and see how that goes

I'm playing him on 5 chem and he's probably the best CB I've used.

GK you will never notice the difference. Gomez is quicker then Van Dijk but Van Dijk is way better in the air. The problem is if you are used to Gomez speed and don't play low depth Van Dijk will get caught for pace sometimes. Kante would be a great improvement in the midfield.

I'd say maybe get IF or SIF Ben Yedder as striker, you could afford both him and Kante and you would just need another French link. Alternatively if you are looking at Del Piero you could save for Mbappe would be similarly priced.

PS: If you do decide to pick up Kante wait until Friday night when everyone is opening packs, his price should drop a bit lower.

The 12th man, most likely to be Messi will be released in packs and all the TOTY players will be in packs then. Right now its only Defenders until Friday, the Forwards and Midfielders are removed from packs until Friday.

It's a bit of a crap way of doing it if you can open packs and never have all TOTY players (I mean, all 12) in packs at the same time.

Suppose not that it makes a difference anyway as the probabilities are so low.
