    Hi all,


    Quick question on mileage costs, is this cost determined by the employer at their own discretion.


    Our current mileage allowance for employees is below the civil service rate and I was just wondering.

    The civil service rate is the maximum you can receive without incurring tax. But yes, they can set whatever rate they want.
