My Sister is on Disability Allowance. Her means changed recently meaning she is no longer entitled to the payment under the means assessment rules. Is she still entitled to stay on disability allowance to just receive prsi credits?

If she will no longer qualify under the means test, she can sign for credits. In normal times, she would need to sign on once a year at her local office but with the current situation, they'll probably take her on without requiring her to physically show up.

She needs to be available for work and genuinely seeking work, it's the same declaration you make when signing on for Jobseeker's Benefit or Allowance. If she is now self employed and can't make that declaration, she could make voluntary contributions under Class S.

Is there any provision for someone with a disability who does not qualify for disability allowance payment due to means to claim credits? The only thing that has changed is her means.

illness benefit is limited to one or two years though, would that limit also apply if you are just getting credits?

Would she have to get weekly certs from her doctor for credits?
