    Hi,
I've sanded down an old sapelle countertop and would like to seal it. I like the colour when it's sanded so I'm looking for something that doesn't alter the colour as well as something that won't cause it to be shiny.
I've read tung oil might be the best but I'm not too sure
I had a spare piece which I sanded and put olive oil on to see what it would be like with oil on it. It darkened it but did leave it with the matte finish I was after (see attached)
    Any advice would be appreciated
