Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Reading another thread on circumstances where a doctor can break patient confidentiality. Is a case where someone has HIV for example one of these where the patients partner is at risk if they are not tested and provided with required treatment?

If the person with HIV is compliant with meds and has a non detectable viral load (so extremely low risk of transmission), I’ve heard it said that you would not be justified in breaking confidentiality if the patient didn’t inform the partner. However if they weren’t compliant, you could absolutely break confidentiality.

There are inevitably a load of scenarios on the spectrum between these 2 examples where there answer mightn’t be as clear cut.
