Naming house - process?

    Just wondering if it is possible to add an ''official'' name to a house. More of a curiosity thing. The house is situated in Dublin so no real need to name it but is it an easy enough process?

    I believe no real process exists other than put up a sign similar to a house number and notify the post office and anyone who corresponds with you.
