Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm joking.

It's a running joke to not post the match thread until after the deadline.

It's a running joke to not post the match thread until after the deadline when matchday starts on a Friday.

    Edited for you:).

    Pope
    Tomori, Rico, Otamendi
    Salah, Guendozi, Mount, Sterling,
    Connolly, Aguero, Auba

On paper I'm happy enough with my team for this week with eight of them having home games but the potential of the Man City trio getting rested is a potential nightmare. Tempted to go Sterling to De Bruyne to at least eliminate that potential rotation risk.

You knew. Only took 3 posts of Hurrah, Boo for you to ask!

    Anyways I’m going with

    Hendo

    TAA Tomori Soy

    Yarmo Sterling KDB Mount

    PEA (c) Jimenez Haller

Salah out to KDB and captain PEA the big calls.

Double West Ham and home to Sheff U the big differential. Really is a case of final chance for Haller

    Alisson

    Taa robbo azpi

    Yarmo kdb(VC) madders cho

    Tammy Wilson aguero(C)

    .3 itb no transfers... yet

Sorry lads, I'm having a brain fart Friday :)

Wasn't familiar with the running joke :)

Good luck to all, think I'm gonna regret going so big on Sterling-KDB

One of them will be left out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,302 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

    Pope

    Montoya | Fredericks | Lundstram

    KDB (C) | Sterling | Salah | Traore | McGinn

    Aguero | Abraham

    Subs: Button, Tomori, Rico, Greenwood

Seems a bit ridiculous I can't (C) a forward worth £12.2 due to doubts if he'll start or not.

KDB it's on as almost guaranteed he'll start

    GL all

Start 2 from Montoya, Lundstram and Dendonker.... currently have Lundstram as 1st sub

    I'd bench Dendoncker.

He's a 3 pointer max if they keep a CS and hasn't been involved in a goal all season.

Lundstram and Montoya have a decent chance of a CS this GW and will score higher if there is involvement in a goal.

    Pope
    Taa diop Lundstram
    Salah sterling kdb mount
    Wilson pukki Abraham
    Sterling capt.

Is there any major evidence pointing towards Sterling being rested?

I haven't seen a thing but one or two sites seem to think it's possible.

I've been stung by pep few times this season alone! Its making me think should I hold off on another transfer and bring KDB in instead....

    Ffs!

I don't have it to hand but I feel like I read somewhere that it's rare he starts 3 games in a week. May have imagined it as I don't have him but someone else mighy know what I'm talking about

Which two to start from Burn, Soyuncu and Lundstram?

I'd personally go with the last two.

Only reason I'm not starting Lundstram myself cause I'm playing Henderson.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Uhhh think I'm gonna take a shot and take Sterling out for KDB......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

Hoping for a Vardy party on a Friday. Captain Sterling now he's found his shooting boots again.

    ..............Pope.........

    Soyuncu.. Robertson... Lundstram

    Mane.. Sterling (c) ..Mount...Gendouzi

    Vardy... Aguero.... Abraham

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

Should I start Connolly up front and bench Rico (3-4-3), or have Rico starting and go 4-4-2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,434 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Bench two from Dunk, Matip, Soyboy, Lundstram and in what order?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,720 ✭✭✭Cartman78

1FT used on McGinn -> Traore; the other is being kept for impending major squad surgery....

    Pope

    Ottamendi | TAA | Tomori

    KDC (C) | Mane | Mount | Traore

    Aguerooo | Abraham | C.Wilson

Subs: Lundstram | Rico | Cantwell

Feels weird to be benching my two top scorers from last week...

    I'd start Connolly

    Pope
    Lundstram Rico Otamendi
    Cantwell Sterling Salah Maddison Mount
    Aguero(C) Firmino

No transfers made, no changes to the team. Same starting 11 that only gave me 8 players last week

Surely they wont all let me down again ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,205 ✭✭✭scotchy

In the same boat as everyone else it seems, as in trying to pick a back 3 from my available players.

3 from TAA, Lundstram, Söyüncü, Tomori ???

Any ideas who to bench welcomed.

I swore last time I’d captain KDB for next easy looking home game
But it feels so wrong not to captain Kun
I think I’d rather captain him and be wrong than vice versa
    So that’s captain sorted
Now somebody pick my goalie and defenders please !

    Pope (CHE) Henderson (whu)
    2 from
Lund (whu) Fredericks (SHU) Tomori (bur) soy (sou)

    Rest of team is
    Boly (new)
KDB (AVL) mane (TOT) Maddison (sou) cantwell (MUN)
Aguero (AVL) Abraham (bur ) Auba (CPL)

Half tempted to start a fourth defender over Cantwell

We defo start Tomori and TAA. I've the other two on my bench, will probably have Soyboy first

I have the same keepers im going with Henderson.

The defenders I have Lundstram on bench going with Soy other then that they all start to clash with each other.

When changing your line-up / bench order don't forget to check it hasn't changed your captain

Well Fred and Tom should play. That West Ham game could be dire but wouldn't be sure on double Sheffield defence.

Then it's whether Soy can win that battle against himself...

Southampton apparently like scoring at home so Soy could be a goner too. So last choice between Soy and Lund is 50/50.

I don't see Chelsea shut out, I'd play Henderson. Which would make me go with Soy in that 50/50.

On a side note I love the attack. Looking through it you can imagine every one of them scoring.

I did forget to include cantwell though !
I am currently starting both Henderson and lund . Against Fredericks !!!!
I don’t see Burnley keeping chelsea out . Or vice versa ........
Honestly if I had another playing sub instead of Hayden I’d bench boost
    I’ll be doing it soon
Anything over 10 points is a success for that chip imo
Will not require a hit . But coming into dgw the temptation to take hits is hard to resist. My best success was the first year of it . Played it early in season in a sgw

Burnley away is not clean sheet material for me

A lot more likely than Soy and Lundstram to get a clean sheet IMO and might get some attacking points

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,672 ✭✭✭ScummyMan

    Pope
    Robbo Rico Soyuncu Lundstram
    Salah KDB(c) Sterling Mount
    Abraham VARdy

    McGovern Connelly McGinn Kelly

Like everyone, struggled with formation and bench order this week, think I'm settled on 4-4-fackin-2.

Cantwell has returns in 3 of his 4 home games...

Currently my first sub so he's nailed on to get a return

God damn it I just switched him with Soyoncu

i had no idea there was a Friday night deadline until I saw this thread. it shows how much this season is sucking my interest in the game. I need a good week from somewhere to start to care again.

    Greenwood ----> Maupay

    Pope
    TAA Soynucu Digne
    Cantwell KDB (c) Salah Maddison
    Maupay Aguero Haller

    Button Saka Lundstram Guilbert

Looking forward to likely downgrading Aguero if Jesus keeps up the form, and upgrading Saka.

no Chelsea is going to kill me, but I don't fancy them away to Burnley off a hard fought CL game. but i've been wrong about almost everything FF related this season, so what do I know?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,672 ✭✭✭ElTel

    Pope
    TAA, Otamendi, Soyuncu
    KDB, Sterling (c), Salah, Mount
    Wood, Jimenez, Abraham.

    Button, Tomori, Lundstram, Cantwell.

Worried about the captaincy and bench line-up but went with my instincts.

    Good luck, folks.

    Pope
    Otamendi, Dunk, Lundstram
    Sterling, Mane, KdB, Cantwell
    Vardy, Abraham, Jimenez

    Button, Soyuncu, McGinn, Mings

Lundstram starts for me just so he stops coming off everyone else’s benches with 6+ points!

    Lat minute keeper switch
Just can not ignore Burnleys home form. Have a feeling both will concede anyway. The week we want boring nil alls like last week we will get a glut of goals. In the wrong games

    Pope
    Lund Boly soyunocu fredericks

    Henderson cantwell tomori
