Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Grandfather Clock Repair

    Hello All,

    I bought a grandfather clock at auction. Its circ 100 years plus old and in need of a service to get the bits all working again. To the untrained eye it doesnt look in too bad of a state (some rust) and the outside is pristine.

    Does anyone know someone who fixes such clocks?

    What would the price of repair be? ( I know how long is a piece of string!)

    Show us some pictures of the long-case clock if possible.

    Take the hood off and take images of the movement and plate.

    Mightn't be able to tell you whats wrong but we can see how original it is.

    people who mend clocks tend to be real enthusiasts about their work, you can put blind-trust in them to do a good job usually
