Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I want to upgrade an old house this would be insulation,new windows, a new bathroom and kitchen maybe a new roof. Do I need a set of plans or can I get a builder to do this work without plans if I tell him what I want. I do not need any walls moved basically no structural work except maybe the roof.

    If you are competent enough to get your message across without plans, confident enough your builder will build what you want, comfortable enough to design the insulation, air tightness layers then go ahead.

    Are you comfortable with the technical requirements here?

    I think it's ideal you get floor plans done.
