Automatic bean to cup machine

Hi, would anyone have any recommendations for an automatic beam to cup machine. Currently use a Nespresso machine which gets used a good 8 or 9 times a day. but looking at getting a bean to cup machine. I do like the sage barista espress but not sure I would have the patience or time to spend setting it up and adjusting grind etc and the other half would prefer something easy to use on a daily basis

Very little waste generated and it can do milky coffee if that's a thing you'd like. Ikg of beans lasts about a month. If you keep an eye out they come up on sale periodically which can make them great value. I strongly dislike the ammount of waste the pod machines generate. The waste grounds from the delonghi are compost able which is a bonus for me.

It's a good machine but I would never buy a coffee machine that is ex shop shelf display. As someone who has worked in one they get battered. I have a delonghi Caffe Corso machine that I got 3 years ago and it's excellent get at least 3 goes a day. I'm lazy and bought a standalone milk frother as Lattes are my drink of choice

I don’t fiddle that much with the barista express. Buy beans by the kilo and once you have them set up you don’t need to do much after that. It’s a great machine.

There is nothing better , unless you'll go semi-automatic ( portafilter, grinder ,Sage Barista Espress good starting point)
I was trying very expensive automatic bean to cup ( over €1k) and quality of espresso shot was as mediocre as at the cheapest Delonghi ESAM you could find.

Important to note that the barista express is not really bean to cup, at least not automatically.
Its a grinder next to the coffee brewer.

There is a bit of faff in grinding, putting the ground into the portafilter without spilling and then tamping and then putting the filter in to make the coffee.
Also the machine requires a bit of warm up before making a cup.

So if you don't want to be doing this 8- 9 times per day it may not be the machine for you.

Is the ESAM the DeLonghi Magnifica?? I just see them on Amazon now for £280.
Is that roughly what to expect to pay for them? is that a good price?

Bought this one in Argos about a month ago now.

It was €600 when I picked it up. I see it’s up over €700 now. Maybe one to set a camelcamelcamel price yolk on.

Loving it so far. For 2 people working at home it’s so handy, click button out comes coffee.

I do still love my aeropress for a long black but when you’re in a hurry the Siemens delivers a pretty damn good cuppa.

I have delonghi in the office and Melitta solo at home.

Melitta wins hands down for simplicity, elegant design and ease of use.

Coffee is the same from both

I bought a Delonghi Dinamica 350.55.b from Amazon Italy 2 weeks ago. It was hundreds cheaper than anywhere else at the time(got it for 499 but it's back to 632 at the moment, keep an eye on the various amazon sites as they tend to drop quite often). Delighted with it. The delonghis have an old school kettle/ computer monitor power cable so you can buy a UK version for a fiver and not worry about convertors.

I have been using a Sage Barista Express for years now.

As an entry level coffee machine its great- definitely recommend. Can turn out very nice espresso with less of the hassle of other units.

Its got its draw backs, dual boilers with Pids are preferable to thermoblocks for many but then thermoblocks are easier and quicker to heat up.

Grinder is mid range, some beans will be hard to dial in but most are fine, especially espresso blends.

As for longevity - mine has had pretty solid use for the past 3 years with the last year being very high usage and still going strong.

Will move on to better when it dies on me but until then its doing the job just fine.

Absolutely not! It's €899 while amazon UK have it for €520.
