How we can save the economy and drive us into the Future!

One of the major things were are concerned about in Ireland, and obviously the world is Climate Change and pollution. With the current economic crisis and the government choking the very life out of it's citizens, a new direction must be taken to encourage more public spending and the government investing in technologies and construction. Ireland has been, over the past many years over dependent on the construction industry, but if we could bring back the construction industry to a stable level for the time being it would help smooth things. Houses should stop being built, obviously due to the amount there is in the country and with nobody buying many project remain un-finished and many people out of work.
The creation of a new Shell Company in Ireland will allow for greater access to funds from the EU. A new Company comprised of three sections, all working in different areas for PUBLIC interest. This will not only improve life for the people of Ireland but also provide many construction jobs and not to mention jobs for people when the construction is finished. By which time the country will have go a greater foothold on the economic situation.

This Shell Company would have three Sections, 1) Research & Development, 2) A New Power and Electricity Group & 3) The Public Transport Development Umbrella

1) Research & Development
R&D is very popular in Ireland but more companies from around the world should be encouraged to invest more in Ireland. We are no strangers to R&D and thanks to us we have been involved in the advancements of Medical Technology such as Drugs, etc. More investment should be encouraged to companies to invest here. A new department would be established to not only to manage and to encourage current and new businesses to invest in Ireland but also invest in Education. A greater invest of Private Funds into education can encourage the training and education of students in R&D fields.

2) A New Power & Electricity Supplier Group made from the current Electricity Supply Board and Bord Na Mona. Both companies have the ability to fund into the Research and Development into providing Safe Clean and Abundant energy thus removing the need for fossil fuels. Construction will begin in the following areas: A) Solar Farms, Wind Farms both On-shore and Off-Shore and C) Hydro Electric Power Facilities. With Three big area's of investment encouraged but Private Funding and also EU Funding construction jobs will rise, including the need for capable technicians to run and maintain these facilities. With these facilities Ireland can reduce the cost of living, the amount of pollution generated and move towards a brighter more fuel friendly country.

3) The Public Transport Development Umbrella
This section will deal with the rising need for Public Transport. For the majority of Irish Citizens insurance, Tax and the cost of running cars has become almost too high to sustain. Once again with funding from the EU and Private Funding from various interest groups this section can focus on building and developing a new type of transport system. Using Currently existing technologies, i.e Maglev technology, it is possible to create a clean, safe and rapid public transport. By doing this, with the obvious creation of construction jobs the employment of security for sites, technicians and the list is endless. So for a better future and it will help bring back the economy not to mention giving us a brighter future.

Perhaps none of this will prob go ahead but there are idea's that I hope one day the government can at least consider. It will work just all is needed is a government with the drive to really make our future better. Because Getting back to where we WERE simply is no longer enough, we NEED to get past that and set up a future worth working for.
