Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Doing a bit of family tree work recently and while I knew that my grandmother was born to a single mother, I didn't know that she was born in Sean Ross Abbey until I found her birth cert. There's no father's name listed, so unfortunately that's the end of that search, but does anyone know if Sean Ross is accessible to the public - my only impression of it is from the film "Philomena" where it looks like you'd get eaten without salt for even looking through the gates!
I'd just like to visit the place if it's an option, as I'm planning a little trip around the country to visit graves anyway, so I thought it might be worth stopping into.
