hey - Invested in a Roberts Internet Radio device the weekend - any recommendations on some good stations to hook into the presets ?!

I like Alternative/Indie/Folk/Chill type music - So much out here when you browse so don't know where to start ?!!

You could do worse than 8Radio.com. It is mainly of an alternative/indie bent, with some nods towards more mainstream rock. There are some live broadcasts too.

Manx Radio AM, for this weekend. Make sure it's the AM stream.

Relaying Radio Caroline, live from The Ross Revenge on Saturday (today) and Sunday. The ship is live from 10:30hrs on Saturday until 21:00hrs Sunday. Also available on the east coast of Ireland from Manx Radio's AM transmitter on 1368khz (219 meters in old money).

Manx radio also very much worth a listen from 08:30 - 10:30hrs every Saturday for Chris Williams and The Carnaby Street programme - 60's music and pirate radio memories.

    Ambient Meditation
    Radio Eeysee
    Mellow Sounds
    Moon Phase
    Music for healing ..

There's a few to be going on with, so many to choose from, like dozens of "Chill" stations :)

Just do a search in different genres like Folk, Indie, Rock, Mellow, Retro etc, and you'll have great fun.

By now you've got Spotify which is what I use for currated music streaming or for liking playlist to put on a timer if you're working out or want to set limits. I too follow the mellow chill spa music ambient it's called and there are whole playlists you can shuffle for drowning out white noise or for better concentration on work. Same offers ability to download offline which is what I do as I have no data plan on my gadget Samsung. That's the Premium of it.

    Third Rock Radio.

    Alternative Rock from NASA :

"Discovery powers the work of NASA. It also drives music lovers to the Internet in search of something less ordinary. The two came together in 2011 with the launch of NASA’s Third Rock Radio, produced and published by Houston-based RFC Media LLC under a Space Act Agreement with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Washington DC."

    The Radio Ship :

Music from the 60's and 70's with audio clips from the pirate radio ships on air at the time.

Here's a station I discovered recently on Radio Garden:
    Quasar The Album Station:

    http://www.quasarradio.uk

If you want to listen to it via their website:
    http://www.quasarradio.uk/listen/

They have a schedule of presenters and it's all about the music. No inane chat and no bad or sad news either.
