Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where to find Certificate of Compliance & Exemption

    Hi,

bought our house some years ago. Currently looking over some documentation we got at the time. I've just noticed we never got a copy of the certificate of compliance for the attic conversion, and the certificate of exemption for the shed. Emails between our solicitor at the time and ourselves referred to their content, and getting them was a condition of the sale, but we the purchasers never actually got a copy.

    1. Are they the kind of thing we definitely should have got a copy of?
    2. Are they something our old solicitor should still have on file?
    3. Is there somewhere else to get them, if not from our old solicitor?

    Thanks.

Call your solicitor to see if they have them on your file. Otherwise they may have been lodged with the title deeds in the bank where your mortgage is from. Failing those 2 options, try find the architects details who issued certificate. They might have a record of issuance and provide you a copy. Failing those 3 , you might need to pay the 300 - 500 euro for new certificate.
