Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I need to buy a present for my 40 yo brother that is notoriously hard to buy for. He has no real hobbies.

    Budget 20-40 euro

You could add 10/15 quid for a half decent dashcam.

How about a voucher for a hot towel shave, haircut etc from some fancy local barber?

If he likes his beer, you'd get a nice selection of craft beers for €40. Most decent off-licences would be happy to advise you or put together a hamper.

Does he mainly drink beer, cider, or spirits?

Long story and none of your business.

Your right, my comment was flippant. I didn't mean anything by it. I tend to write stuff as if the reader was sitting across the table from me. Apologies. Hot towel shave is always a nice thing to get

Maybe a One4All voucher - widens the field of where he can spend it

I’d die if I got that as a gift.

    Vouchers.
    Maybe a book.

20 -40 quid on your brother?

Wouldn't get you a steak and chips in a gastropub.

    Get him some prize bonds.

Prize bonds are useless now, the current government changed the rules and the prizes are gone to hell. We’ve €30k in amd thinking of taking it out as it never wins anything.

Slightly over budget but a good wallet worth the money.

The hot towel shave is a rubbish idea. He's not getting married.

A voucher is a good shout. Where does he shop regularly - buy a voucher for that place. Give it along with a 6 pack of Heineken 0.0%

He pisses the bed if he drinks. Keep up.

Didnt know all men on the planet ceased grooming on your wedding day...
Tell me is there some form of check to make sure only grooms can avail of this service?

I've had a hot towel shave voucher for about 4 years that I'm sure has expired from not being used at this stage...

Are there any sports he follows? There's always a few good biographies of sports stars at this time of year and Easons are always happy to give you a gift receipt in case he's already read them?

Hairy Baby T-shirts / mugs etc. are usually a good go-to for guys

    Just Eat Vouchers?

If he has kids: a voucher for a weekend of babysitting and a nice bottle of wine would always go down well!

Just eat vouchers is a great idea.

Or a Netflix or amazon prime or nfl or ufc pass if he’s into that.

    Maybe some nice lingerie
