Birthday present for my son

Hi All,
looking for suggestions of a watch for my sons 17th that is coming up in 10 days.

He likes my steinhart Ocean Green(sometimes forgets to take it of and keeps it for a week:D) so guess a diver watch will suit.

Date/Time would be wasted on him so just an automatic/quartz watch without date will do.

Willing to spend in and around 200e and the only cavat is that it needs to be bought in brick and mortar shop.

Any ideas much appreciated!

Had a look at Fields site but they didnt have any Seikos that caught my eye.

I was going to recommend a Seiko SXK007 and Googled them. Wtf happened to the prices :eek::eek::eek:

I had a look in the locals window a few weeks back and didnt even see an SKX's in the Seiko area, just kinetics divers and Dressier watches.

Most bog standard jewellers just seem to have a cocktail time as their only automatic watch.

Anyone know if a SNZF15 or 17 are available in a bricks and mortar shop?

Simple solution is give him your stienhart ocean one green and get yourself a new watch.

Don't remind me, OH has my OVM 1 for the past year and a half. She even persuaded me to put the bracelet back on it instead of a NATO, the bracelet is too small for me:(.

Right so now thats over lets discuss your new watch...you obviously like a diver and a big enough watch.

I think stienhart offer excellent quality at the price

How abour the Ocean Titanium 500 GMT Premium nice looking and useful GMT complication.

If budget allows I have my eyes on this sure some negotiation would make it more affordable but good price for a "iconic" watch.

Some of the sexier seiko divers around the 500 euro mark too.

As a side note lot of Monaco Tags on adverts at the moment at the 1500 - 2500 euro mark. Again a classic watch and always sale-able, the shape is marmite but no doubt a classic watch.
