Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,
Am doing research for a paper. Can anybody point me to any books that discuss science (preferably the rise of science, or an increased interest in science) during the last quarter of the 19th century in London/England?
    Greatly appreciated.

Check out www.Victorianweb.org , it is a great site.

The Victorians were amazing, just look at the London underground and sewage system for proof of that.

There is a good book on the origins of 19thC science, Davies et. all.
"Age of Wonder" by Richard Holmes.
