So now that the season is done, let's look forward to next year.

Some decent talent in free agency this year. Off the top of my head

    David Price
    Yoenis Cespedes
    Zack Greinke
    Jordan Zimmermann
    Johnny Cueto
    Chris Davis
    Ben Zobrist

    And here's the complete list:

    http://www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/league-info/potential-2016-free-agents/

For the Mariners, I think I would like to to see them rebuild the bullpen (I think the starting rotation is looking ok if they can keep Iwakuma), get some more offence to round out the lineup (the bottom third wasn't producing any consistent offence last year) and get a second everyday catcher to back up Zunino (they had this for a couple of weeks last year with Castillo but traded him away - terrible move).

You never know, the Giants might back a big truck full of money up to him.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to give a 6-year/$150million kind of deal to a pitcher who is 32?
    No thanks, Zack.

Realistically theres what, 3/4 teams that can afford his Lester/Scherzer type deal but its a massive massive gamble still for me.. ok so his numbers are insanely good but look at whats happened the majority of the pitchers that got their big pay day.. i think id pass too

Do you think this will be what makes him stay?

Hypothetically would you rather he went to the Cubs or Giants??

I'd like him to go to the Tokoyo whatevers. Anywhere out of MLB really.

Seriously though the Giants would be the lesser of two evils although it is an even year so they're due another WS. The Cubs would be pretty strong with him though. Imagine those hitters with Greinke, Arieta etc pitching.

So Jose Reyes was arrested for domestic violence. If this is proven true it will be very interesting to see how the league handles it, especially considering the mess of the Ray Rice situation, and more recently, Greg Hardy. I would expect a 81 game ban, at least.

The Angels deserve everything they get after signing him to that ridiculous contract. Only about $160 million left now.

Marlins getting a preemptive strike in with Scott Boras re Jose Fernandez to avoid all the crap that happened with Matt Harvey in NY.

I love the line telling him to buy his own team if he wants to manage how pitchers are monitored.

Is that the first qualifying offer accepted ever? I believe it is.

The Angels have got Simmons from the Braves. He's one of, if not the best defensive shortstops in the game in my opinion. His glove's like a magnet to the ball. Don't think his bat's the best but definitely a great addition to their team. A couple of 'top' prospects gone the other way.

The bat hasn't been too bad this year, http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/simmoan01.shtml

But you could watch the glove and arm all day.
I love a good defensive play

He's the player that got me into baseball in the first place. Only 18 HR's short of Ted Williams. Hopefully he gets there in the next year on the way to the Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame? Well, I don't know. The baseball writers will have to change their attitude on PED guys for that happen.
