...has anyone got a small qty of assembly lube they could spare ?

I have a small single-cylinder engine to reassemble, but it'll be idle too long between rebuild and fire-up for simply putting oil on the shells/mains etc.

I literally need a few teaspoons' worth of the stuff...

    TIA.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Anywhere near you selling STP oil treatment? I wouldn't treat my oil with it but it works very well as assembly lube, thick and slick.;)

    Would second that .
Used to do quite a bit of engine reassembly etc and found the STP excellent as it would stay wherever you put it - bearing shells , shafts , cam lobes etc .
