Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    A duck out of water.

Tbf, occasionally a mental fit bloke from jellylegs coaching joins us on our roadspin on his xc race bike.

He's in the little ring at the back with a candence of something over 100 to keep up. He does but he is mental fit.

The center of gravity is too high, the position too upright to make it any fun. On my commute the Mtb is about 10% slower.

Get yourself a XC (100mm) 29er hardtail. I have an Canyon Aluminium hardtail with 2 x10 setup (prefer this over 1x setup). Have done over 200Km road spin, Sean Kelly 160km and 170km Hardway around in Killarney.
I use Maxxis Ikon tyres on the road and trail (set up tubeless, run 30psi off road and 45 psi on road).
You'd be surprised how well they roll!
