Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

VBD having a great game also

No way back for Pogba in this team IMO

    Fingers crossed

This XI looking good but still not quite sure it's the balance we need going forward. With the upcoming fixtures it's not like we'll be seeing a consistent line up going forward.

Were playing the way United should play. Fluid attacking football. Great to see. I would start testing players now and making changes. Fernandes for one.

    Completely agree.

This team is not complete enough and cannot afford to carry players who are unprepared and/or unwilling to put in the necessary grunt work, no matter how naturally talented they may be.

I'll sleep very happily tonight if Bruno gets his hat trick in the second half.

I know it’s not a popular opinion but I’d still have pogba ahead of mct but donny should start over both

    Super save from DDG.

Back to his best lately .

I’d have an inanimate carbon rod ahead of Pogba.

Donny is great, brilliant eye for a forward ball but still getting stuck in, making tackles in our half. He simply has to get more minutes.

He will but I dont understand the rush. I see the benefit of slow integration. It allows for the hype to die down and the players has little expectations coming in to the team. Looks a good player but let's not forget who we are playing here tonight.

How has Cavani been? I'm only getting to tune in now.

There was no hype surrounding him though and he has impressed every time he has played, makes no sense to not play your best players when they are available, rotation / rests notwithstanding.

Deserves a goal. Working very hard and some lovely touches. Should have been played in twice first time and he'd prob have had his goal already.

Good, alot of probing runs, occupying defenders, very clever player.

Good enough that he deserves to start in the same role at the weekend v Southampton.

    My lovely Edin
    Running round the field
    Where are you going
    With your fetlocks blowing
    In the wind?

I want to shower you with sugar lumps
And watch you jump over fences
Polish your boots every single day
And bring you to the goal dentist

    My lovely, lovely, lovely Edin

    My lovely Edin
You're a PSG player no more
    Running around
With number 9 on your back
Like a train in the night, yeah
Like a train in the night ...

Cavan has had a very solid game. He has great awareness of who's around him.

Was gonna say, he's been a bit sloppy. Couple bad touches. Cavani not happy.

Well taken free kick but it feels like a soft goal. We need to cop on here.

    Glazers Out!

It was 3-1 on the PaddyPower website before the kick was taken on RTE.

Here's hoping we don't keep showing them our soft soft underbelly.

Yeh it was soft. Thought DDG should of done better but he’s been far more solid this season so won’t make much of it.

Changes in team have affected fluidity, it happens. Once we win I don’t care to be honest

Leipzig win their last two games and that point means we'd be 2nd.

Living dangerously here. Hard to see us getting these 3 points over the line now.

This is getting a tad dangerous for my liking

We wouldn't be winning this if they were half decent

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,666 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

Demba Ba would have been a much better signing than Ighalo last January.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,461 ✭✭✭✭Zeek12

I don't like some of the changes we made

We've sort of gone to 4-2-4, far too open and have let them back into it

Edit. Matic coming in now, hopefully will help

Dan james is again proving to be a waste of space.

    Very tidy haircut for Matic

We are being treated to the full Jekyll & Hyde nature of Ole's reign in tonight's match.

We can't hold possession for more than a few seconds at a time.

Would it be right to criticise Ole for the subs?

All 3 at the one time that will upset fluidity.

James on for Fernandes who realistically won't track back as much so exposing VDB and Fred.

Matic on now for damage limitation but it would make ya wary of Ole and his game management.

This is where McT is missed.

As good as United were overall with the benefit of the early goal they have had far too much space on front of defence and have allowed the opponent to get into some really good positions.

Maybe if Fred and Donny played together more often they would improve in the protection they give.

There's been a few players over the years who I've called bad, awful, not good enough etc. I don't think I've ever meant it as much when I say Dan James is terrible.

    Better than me, mind you.

Half the PSG team was booked today, any gonna miss our game?

Fred's worst performance for us in quite some time.

He is very frustrating to watch. Gets the ball, runs like a mad man down the pitch with it then hasn't a clue what to do with the ball in the box. Of course just as I type this he scores

    Great finish by James.
