Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do you miss being able to just meet up with strangers and suggesting they join you in play?

A bit. I think it would attract attention to yourself and some bad apples would invade your space to be annoying.

    Are you frightened?

    No

What if I wore a clown mask while instructing people with said megaphone do you think it would keep the bad apples away?

What smell reminds you of childhood?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,409 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

The smell of a turf fire brings me straight back to the first time in my grandparent's house and the first time I smelled turf burning.

Did you grow up in the country or a town/city?

Country until I was 12. Back living in the country now and no place I'd rather be.

    Do you have any birthmarks?

No I don't wear glasses at all but I have noticed some deterioration in my eyesight so should probably get my eyes tested.

Do you know any sign language?

I can say 'thank you' and 'sorry' in ISL.

Would you like to learn Latin?

Yes, it would make a lot of languages easier to learn.

Have you stocked up on loo roll that you won't need if you contract Covid-19?

I've been reliably informed mine's fairly lethal too.

I think I'd like to be able to fly. Not sure how my landings would be with my dyspraxia, mind!

Oh I forgot a question! Any foreign language that when spoken by your preferred sex gets you all 'hot and bothered'?

    Blue eyes.

    Spanish.

What would you like to do tomorrow if you had a magic wand?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,409 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

Go back in time and snog that beautiful man who could speak Spanish.

    You?

I'd magic myself into the kitchen of my "second mama" in Bosnia and spend about half an hour just hugging her and then eat some of her amazing baklava. Awww I'm sad now.

Will you cheer me up please?

    I'm sorry, I'm a bit miserable myself.

    Should I have another beer?

You've experienced the love of a 'second mama'. Remember how good that felt? That love will always exist as long as one if your hearts is beating. Isn't that amazing?

    Did that cheer you up?

Awww yeah it did! It is amazing! It's funny how you can just totally click with someone.

Have you ever just clicked with someone like that? Not with a partner but someone else.. a friend or a mentor or something?

Hahaha. Boots with lethal weapons on the soles aren't really a good idea for people like me. Wish I could though.

    Did you?

    Oh no, I'm sorry!!!

I only ice skated once. I was surprising alright at it. I think endless hours of rollerblading as a kid paid off on the rink! :D

Have you ever been horse riding?

No, I did beg as a child, but it was an expensive pursuit.

What was childhood dream for grown up you?

I thought i'd be an actress. Adults were forever telling me I'd be an actress some day. I was a dramatic child. I thought it was a compliment! Turns out I didn't have enough confidence when I got a little older to pursue such a thing.

I never felt I had a calling. Did you have a calling? Or something you desperately wanted to grow up to be?

I had lots of unachievable dreams - ballet dancer, gymnast etc. I have all the grace of a rhino emerging from an anaesthetic. I've never had a real calling or career plan though.

Would you like to go back and pursue your childhood dream?

LOL all the grace of a rhino emerging from an anaesthetic!!

No. All the things I did led me to where I am and who I'm with and I don't want to change that.

    Do you like romantic films?

I'm not a huge fan, I prefer comedy. Dark comedy in particular.

    Your favourite genre?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,105 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

Dark drama, dark comedy, Scandi noir. Anything with 'dark' in it.

Did you bounce out of bed this morning or did you need a few cattle prods to get you going?

Im unwell so a combination of coughing a lung up and needing to go to the bathroom got me up.
Would you ever take on a project like a camper van renovation?

    At least twenty.

Is that too much or not enough?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,409 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

    At least twenty.

Is that too much or not enough?

That entirely depends on what/who you've been touching.

    Have you cried today?

Do you know the symptoms of this virus thing?

I think so. Any one of sore throat, high temperature or aching muscles means that you have it and are getting sick from it.
But then again you can have the virus and have no symptoms and not get sick from it…and be a spreader.

Do you still like the same music now as you did when you were a late teenager?
