Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

At the end of my tether with RSA. I rang them and they couldnt answer me, told me to submit by mail. Have sent 2 mails, weeks gone by and no answer.

Long story short, I have 2 scenarios:
    1. My sister-in-law has full Italian licence. Is she qualified to seat with me?
    2. My mother-in-law has full Argentine licence. Is she qualified to seat with me?

Both have had longer than 2 years.

Both RSA.ie and citizensinformation.ie doesnt specify anything, just:
"the person who’s with you must hold a full driving licence for the category of vehicle you are driving for a continuous period of 2 years."

    or
"Car drivers with a learner permit must be accompanied at all times by, and be under the supervision of, someone with a current driving licence for a car. Also, the person accompanying you must have had the driving licence for at least 2 years."

And the Road Traffic Act doesnt specify anything either.

Not related to my situation, but nothing is specified in any documents that this licence needs to be in-date, ie not expired... can someone point me to docmented, factual information on any of the above. It seems RSA cant even answer me. TIA.

I would imagine it's a full irish drivers licence you need.

There are different rules of the road for different countries.

The one I'm seeing broken an awful lot is turning right on a red light. While that maybe acceptable in other countries it's not here.

For your own sake get someone with an Irish licence.

I'm going to go to my local Gardai at the weekend see what they say. Just think its hilarious RSA cannot answer me tbh.
