Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
We're driving thus route shortly in our motorhome. Can anyone recommend a rest ( overnight) stop over along the route?
Ferry getting in to fishgard around 9.30 and we're hoping to get a bit of the journey covered that night.
    Thanks

When you do stop don't do what I did last summer on the same journey and forget to get fuel before heading back on the motorway. Tighín was as good as empty when I pulled in, spent too long shopping and eating and rushed out and sped off without filling up. We were just on the way when I realised my mistake but no option but to keep going. The next station was about 25/30 miles so we belted on but ran out of fuel 500 m from the exit...but, but, but she coasted all the way in to the pump. What a laugh we had. Had to prime her to get going again. It's half the fun of being on the road.

I'd say that was great fun!
How long did it take you to drive it?

From what I can remember the journey from Fishguard to Folkstone took us about 9 hours in total. We stopped for an hour break half way and then lost another 30 minutes stopping for fuel. After that it was pedal to the metal all the way. The M25 was tough going for a time. We made it to chunnell terminal just minutes before our train was due to depart so we missed that one, but no problem, they put us on the next one thirty minutes later...got a chance to catch our breath :)

Time of day planning will.make a huge difference to travel time on that route. I've done it in a car and, from M4 Slough onwards it can be an absolute nightmare if you get that wrong. In a motorhome, I'd drive at night for comfort..
