Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My daughter is being laid off for two weeks due to COVID. First time she’s been out of work over this thing. Can she claim PUP for the two weeks or does it just cover long term?

For reference her place of employment is still trading, they just don’t need her.

    TIA

Iam in a similar position but just got an email tonight to say my application was rejected and the only way to appeal is in hand writing/free post. No contact number or email etc Ridiculous

Why not put claim in anyway when she finishes work then when she goes back cancel it online, worst they can is no.

PUP is not a short term payment as such, put that aside for a moment, if your daughter has earnings that can be assessed for the year 2019 & or Jan/Feb 2020, has been temporarily laid off she is entitled to claim, use temporarily laid off as reason. However its important to understand the payment is assessed on earnings for dates mentioned, if there are non, she won't qualify.

Don't focus on the two weeks, if successful, she can close payment whenever. Best way to apply is through mywelfare portal, she'll need PPS number and employer details (name and address etc). There's 1000"s on PUP temporarily laid off even though their employers are still trading but have had to reduce staff etc. Good luck

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.
