Hello and thank you to anyone who takes the time answer my question!

I’m an idiot when it comes to tax and how to pay it or what I should be paying.
I’ve just signed a new contract with an American company as an independent contractor.
How do I pay my taxes?
And if I am emigrating to the UK, does that make a difference?

    Thanks

Sounds like your self employed. If so you need to complete a Form 11 tax return at the end of the year.
