Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great video but it's not something we don't see on numerous occasions every year.

It was a real window shaker at that hour of the morning 5am, thought the roof was gone there was heavy hail with it as well.

Cold air aloft after the front goes through tomorrow with reasonable lapse rates over the relatively mild SST's, looks like a chance of convection getting going and among the wintry showers to follow in the morning could be some sporadic hail and thundery showers more so in the W, NW, N from early morning where the coolest pool of upper air will be. Windy on the coasts in a brisk and sometimes gusty W/ly which will bring wintry and some hail showers well inland.

Will see if there is some kind of line convection crossing the country during the early hours and going through the E around the time of the early morning commute.

Great squall just came though the mountains. Snow at first, then heavy hail, first minute coming in at 45 degrees from the left (N), next few minutes 45 degrees from the right (S), winds very high and chaotic during this period. Bright sun before, and after only lasted 5 minutes, the drop in temperature was large too, just checking the weather station but from the graph about 6c drop.

This might be of interest to some , a new storm chasing game being launched shortly. Don't know anything about it except what I've seen on Twitter and their Web Site and Reed Timmer seems to be endorsing or backing it.

This thread is almost a year old!

Saw a flash of lightning through the window in West Clare, no audible thunder to be heard though.
