UK reg car insured in ireland

    I am purchasing a new car in northern Ireland to be changed to Irish plates , nct'd, taxed and insured in the republic within 30 days. Problem I am having is finding an insurance company that will allow me take out the policy while the car is on UK plates. I currently do not have an insurance policy so the option of switching the policy for 30 days is not an option. Any suggestions please?

    Allianz.
    I did it 2 weeks ago with a car from Northern Ireland . First insurance in 20 years .
