Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So far, the list of titles removed includes Dr. Dolittle, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Sandlot, Flicka, Strange Magic, and The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, as well as The Shaggy Dog and Garfield 2: A Tail of Two Kitties, which were quietly removed in 2019.

Ah ok, surprised I didn't notice Home Alone going, kids love that and have watched it multiple times.

What’s the story with the content here? I’d seen some stories about shows being delayed or not being shown at all.

Its unlikely that The Simpsons will be on it. Having said that the Simpsons originally wasn't to be on the US version either but they changed this after an out cry from the public before launch. The Mandelorian was released each week for 8 weeks on the US version & it's likely to be the same here.

The latter of those is one I wanted to see and I’d heard rumours we (and the UK) wouldn’t see it at launch at all.

This is the biggest attraction for adults on Disney Plus. They will have it on launch but I doubt they will drop all 8 episodes on the channel an launch day. It makes sense that they spread it out over 8 weeks so you have to subscribe for at least two months. I enjoyed the show. Eight episodes just wasn't long enough :)

Vpns aren't illegal btw.. they just don't want you using them to access geo restricted content, but it's not illegal to do it. They have to be shown to disallow them so ,hence the blocks by Netflix etc

Decent deal for the preorder the problem for me is that i'm worried we'll get Disney+ lite due to Sky having a lot for the Disney rights for now. The other issue is i think i have most disney/pixar/marvel movies on Bluray haha

I presume they will be making there own content like Amazon and Netflix. There standard seems to be far above anything I have seen on netflix or Amazon even tho both have great shows. I only watched the Mandelorian and thought it was excellent.

It's €60 for a year though, would you not be after 15€ from 3 others, then your own 15€ = €60 between you all?

Ah sorry I actually reread it and thought, you were looking someone to buy two screens at the same time for €30, hence why I suggested it would be easier to break it up into 4 X €15 slots.

    Bit slow tonight. :D

No I doubt it, different profiles .

That’d be a pain in the hoop. Can’t see the attraction of sharing the same log in. At least Spotify has completely different accounts

I'm of the same opinion. I'm running a Spotify account the last few years without issue. Would like to be Sharing a login

  • Registered Users Posts: 157 ✭✭jkbah

I took the plunge and bought the year long sub. Downloaded from USA play store using an email set to USA location. Currently watching using VPN in USA. Looks like same log in details and then pick a profile, like Netflix. Can have seven profiles, handy for kids.
Have spots gone to family/friends so don't mind sharing log in details.

You can view up to four Disney+ streams at one time across multiple devices.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,096 ✭✭✭Jofspring

It will be interesting to see how this works. For example with Nowtv you can have 4 devices on the one account just like what Disney is advertising but the catch is if you use your phone for Now TV and Chromecast to tv it actually counts the phone as one device and the Chromecast as the second device. You'd easily use 4 devices with just two people.

The main thing people need to remember with this is it's completely different from the Spotify set up.

I'm going to split it with my brother €30 quid each and it should work out ideal for us with kids. Splitting with people you don't know could potentially get messy. Like if someone puts it on the their TV and smartphone then that's 2 of the 4 devices gone. You'd need to agree that you only use one device.

  • Registered Users Posts: 157 ✭✭jkbah

Can use on up to 10 devices per account in USA

It's the same for UK/Ireland 10 devices registered on your account applies to downloads on mobile devices but you can only have 4 streams running same time which means actual limit of 4 different devices in use same time when streaming

You can add 7 profiles to your account

Seems like an easy compromise for 15 euro

It can definitely work just as long as everyone is aware of it going into it.
