Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Without going into food planning etc., here’s my checklist for a good dinner party.

(optional) Slideshow of interesting photos in the background
    Ensure ice in freezer
    Tidy house & garden
    Clean toilets
Think about where guests will sit if necessary
    Interesting starter e.g watermelon
    Plenty food & drink
    Room temperature
    Candles
    Background music
Don’t gobble down your dinner before everyone else.

To clarify, I'm primarily talking about the people you'd mostly have over for dinner, in my case it would be parents, inlaws, brothers, sisters. It would be VERY CASUAL.

You need to have prepared a long list of things to spout BS about that also shows how well off you are. The expensive holiday you're going on, the new car thats parked outside the door, how much the bottles of wine on the table cost. Really thats what dinner parties are about, showing off.

Hard liquor. No fannying around with this unoaked chardonnay business. If you are not on the verge of puking and wetting yourself then you haven't done it right.

    Fart Porn.

    Strippers.

    Illegal drugs.

    Handcuffs.

Selections of whips and chains. Throw in a couple of hand grenades and chainsaws. You know, spice things up a little.

    It's a Dell boy quote.

Del's Spiel: 'Pressed from the finest grapes in France, 5 year old Beaujolais Nouveau white wine as drunk by Jean-Claude van Damme.'

But I did mess up there , I had Dell boy at Abigail's party.
    That would be some party.

Background music? would never occur to me, where would they sit, would never occur to me either, they just sit at the table for the food, then on the sofas, I am a good cook so the food will be good and I would have wine, cocktails, and something interesting for the nondrinker.

A bit of bleach in the loo and quickly tidy up that's it.

If you are not interested in cooking this is a brilliant idea just requires assambley.
