Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. You either don't know anything about Alex Ferguson, or else you have a bad memory.

Or, you know, just not Liverpool fans and looking to do down someone that manages a club they don't like.

While there are numerous managers who are complete and utter arseholes, Klopp certainly ain't one of them.

Apologies sir. I need to adjust my sarcasm-ometer. :o

    More your attention-seeker-ometer.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

The best of us will look that bit harder to find fault in a rival's 'main man'. It's particularly grating if they are popular and you feel, with no real proof, they are not what they portray.

And we overlook weaknesses in our own idols. Say Roy Keane in 2002. The right thing to do would be to represent his country. Like you could see Maradona playing on a bog for his beloved Argentina. But because Keane was a hero to so many, through Man U and Irish teams we made excuses for him. He wanted the highest standards etc etc. The truth is he probably just didn't want to be in Japan.

Speaking of which, there's an absolute bona fide cunt if ever there was one.

    Great tread.

Had it been around a few years ago these two would have been prime candidates but thankfully they have been called out.

An Sang Su Kee or whatever that Burmese b**tch is called.
Loved the world over by the bleeding heart liberal lefties but in the end she turned out to be a genocidal c u next Thursday.
I love it when the lefties get egg on their face.

    The other is Lance Armstrong.
Using cancer as a cover for being a drugs cheat.
Bullying everyone around him to keep his secret and abusing anyone who questioned his performance.

Ah sure while I'm at it I'll throw in former swimmer Michelle Smith.
In 1996 you could not even question her bonafidies for fear of being murdered by a mob.
But in the end she was a dirty cheat.

A fella no one ever has a bad word to say about and seems a gent is Kevin Kilbane. I doubt there's any dirt there.

I could have sworn we had a similar thread only a few weeks ago? Deja vu is setting in.

Barack Obama is far from universally revered in the US, though I would grant in Europe, he rarely gets criticised.

My choices are Tom Hanks and George Clooney. Both massively over-rated actors. And too f***** nice. I don't trust people who are that nice.

There are still some people who think of him as a peace-maker and diplomat. Thankfully more and more people see through his act now.
He has been a driving force behind so many wars, genocide and 'police actions' throughout the years.

Gay Byrne turned into a sanctimonious windbag after he stepped down from the Late Late. Condescending to those who didn't share his faith on the Meaning of Life, stunk out Lyric FM with Dixieland jazz and ridiculous "Nawlins" twang. Outstayed his welcome on TV & radio best part of a decade, and that's being charitable. You don't retire in RTÉ until the coffin is polished.

I don't doubt you, but the same could be said for many, many variety entertainers of his vintage.

The fact is he was a beautiful singer, and you just had to be able to sing, dance, tell a story, tell a joke, do a magic trick etc to be able to get a regular gig back then, so they all needed a bit of shadow support in their weak areas.

I only care about these guys being street angels and house devils. To me its the worst of all cowardice.

An old girlfriend of mine had a work friend who became involved with a senior manager in the company. They were both single etc, so that was fine, but he soon became controlling and not long after that, physically abusive. Badly so. So, myself and a few concerned gentlemen put the frighteners on him. Take it from me, theres nothing so pathetic as a coward like that dissolving before your eyes.

Ray Darcy - I hate the shiny self-righteous dwarf. His very existence is an affront to civilization.

The Dalai Lama - He preaches sharing and he is worth approx 150 million. Maybe share some of that money and Tibet wouldn't be such a broken toilet of a state.

Mike Tyson - To begin, he is a rapist. Boxing wise, all he did was win titles in a piss-weak division and get whipped when he actually fought quality opponents. Now he plays a broken down old man character and idiots like Joe "I agree with the last thing I heard" Rogan pander to him.

Nirvana - I think they were a great band but what a bunch of self-righteous posers. That alternative/grunge/punk scene was riddled with fart-sniffing "right-on" attitudes.

I dunno... the people on here who were particularly delighted that the Gardai shot a mentally ill black man really do seem to hate the first ever person of Chinese descent to get elected to political office in Ireland. Even more than they hate other female politicians. I just can't quite put my finger on what it is about Hazel Chu, who has a history of speaking out against racism, that they hate so much.

Very surprised we've come to post 180-odd without anyone mentioning the most obvious candidate for this thread: Muhammad Ali. A great boxer in his heyday, no doubt, but the way he is revered as a wonderful role model and icon is laughable to anyone who knows his true history.

I don't want to write an essay but will give a couple of specific examples of what a horrible person Ali was. From Wikipedia, this is what was happening before Ali's first fight with Joe Frazier, a man who raised himself from absolutely nothing and never bad-mouthed any opponent: Ali frequently called Frazier an "Uncle Tom". Dave Wolf, who worked in Frazier's camp, recalled that, "Ali was saying 'the only people rooting for Joe Frazier are white people in suits, Alabama sheriffs, and members of the Ku Klux Klan. I'm fighting for the little man in the ghetto.' Joe was sitting there, smashing his fist into the palm of his hand, saying, 'What the fcuk does he know about the ghetto?'

Similar hypocrisy pertained to his conversion to Islam. He was happy to publicly pontificate on how black people should be chaste and only marry people of their own race while blithely fcuking anything with a pulse (of any colour) while a married man. Example: At age 32 in 1974, Ali began an illicit extramarital relationship with 16-year-old Wanda Bolton, with whom he fathered a daughter, Khaliah (born 1974).

Also Osho Rhaneesh whom I hadnt heard of prior to that but was the subject of the recent documentary in the Wild Wild Country .
