Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I do not know what age I am,
    I am no mortal age;
    I know nothing of women,
    Nothing of cities,
    I cannot die

    Age....

In my life I've seen 40 year old looking, dressing & acting like old farts, I've also worked with 60 year olds who look, dress and act like 30 year olds!

I know a couple of 80 year olds who dress like (modern 60 year olds), they're also very active, cycling at the weekends, dressing down and buying clothes that their parents would never have drempt of wearing at that age.

    Age is in the mind.

What's with accounts here asking what age you are?

Seems to happen relatively regularly

My age is the difference between two squares.

It's also the sum of two squares!

According to the Dept of social protection I am the oldest person in the world with an official birth year of 1668.

They cannot change it either but have "put a note on the system" :)

So is there anyone older than 453 here :D

I'm 29 and I entered this pandemic aged 28. Want to escape it before i turn 30.. Still clinging to my mid 20s thankfully. Late 20s is just a conspiracy.

No 60 year old looks like a 30 year old. Put on your glasses and you'll see what I mean.

    :)

Bit of artistic licence there, meaning that some 60 year olds can act much younger than their biological age .....

Strange lately i'm finding it very hard to wrap my head around what age I am ,
Its not upsetting or anything like that I just genuinely can't believe how quickly iv gotten to this age,

I have clear memories of certain conversations of things or events & can't believe how many years have passed since like how ,

I wonder is there science behind time going quicker the older you get ,

46 and proud. Still can’t believe I am now in early middle age. Joined Boards in December 2004 at the tender age of 29.

Less than four years to fifty now....yikes!!:o

I think it's as simple as time becoming smaller relevant to your time you've been alive as you get older. E.g, a summer (3 months) seemed like a life time when you were 12 but you would only have been around for 48 months at that stage in your life so a summer was 16% of your life time then. (probably got the maths wrong!:pac:)

I'm 39 now so a summer is merely 0.5% of my life time so I'm not surprised they seem to be a lot shorter nowadays.

What I've started to do as I've gotten older is to assume I I'll live to 70 or 80 and then realise that if I'm correct then I've already lived half my life or more, it's pretty scary! It's a good kick up the ar$e sometimes as well though.
