Hello all! Please ensure that you are posting a new thread or question in the appropriate forum. The Feedback forum is overwhelmed with questions that are having to be moved elsewhere. If you need help to verify your account contact hello@boards.ie
Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Charter:

    * Read the FAQ

    Please please please read the FAQ before you post a question. The FAQ contains solutions to queries that always come up on this forum, so it’s quite possible that the answer to your problem is in it. Any posts that ask for a solution to a problem that is within the FAQ will be deleted.

    * Absolutely NO commercial posting unless it is sanctioned by the admins.

    * No Spamming.

    * Straying off topic will result in post deletion.

    * Personal abuse, racism etc. will lead to bannings, there is no need for it, so don’t do it.

    * If you see any instances where the charter is breached i.e. Abuse, spam etc. please use the Report Post function.

    Beyond that the usual rules of relevancy and politeness in posting apply, although this is generally not an issue as we tend to get a better class of poster here
    If these rules aren’t clear please PM one of the Moderators listed at the bottom of the forum .

    So what's this forum about?

    One (fairly wide) definition that we can use of wireless is:

    Wireless Technologies denote a subset of Information Technology that interests itself in portable and handheld computing and networking, primarily relying on non-fixed means of communication.

    So that would really encompass technologies that cover:

    * WAN's (e.g. Bluetooth, 802.11, IR)
    * Wireless Internet (e.g. WAP, I-Mode, HDML)
    * Network Standards/Protocols (e.g. GSM, GPRS, SMPP)
    * Other stuff related to wireless & handheld devices (e.g. SyncStations, LBS)

    This is by no means a definitive list.

    Enjoy the Forum!
