    Hi,

I'm planning on constructing a french drain in my garden.

Its going to be 16 meters in length, 700mm wide and a meter deep.

The plan is to use 20mm drainage chips. That equates to 11.2 cubic meters.

Now for my stupid question, when i ring the local quarry how many tonne of the drainage chips should i be ordering ?

Just tell them what you need in m3 and they will know. It wouldn’t be that unusual a request.
