Advice needed, house checks and extension

    I am looking at buying a house similar build to this https://www.daft.ie/12156348.

    I am just wondering if anyone could shed some light on who I need to hire to check the house for issues like damage or bad building?

    A friend told me a quantity surveyor only helps with what you plan to build. who would I hire an architect maybe?

    Also if anyone has any experience with this house type please share.
