Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi. I have heard a fair few john prine songs this last while, and I'd like to hear more. Can anyone recommend a CD for me to get started? I've heard 'In spite if ourselves' a few times, so I can't wait to hear more. Thanks.

Try listening to CD The Picture Years
    One of his best

Only seeing this now but the album that got me into JP all those years ago was Bruised Orange. Also think John Prine Live is a good introduction including some good between song stories. Not too sure I'd brand him as a country artist though.

Think his 1st, John Prine is essential.
Nearly all his songs are on YouTube anyway.
Check out stuff he did with Steve Goodman.

BTW, he has a new CD on 30th Sept - duets of classic Country songs
