Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sleep hygiene?

Yeah. Sleep diary, meditation, dark room, temperature control, no caffeine, routine of sleeping hours, cut down on booze and cigs. Turn off TV and Lappy or phone and ease your mind before resting. Deep breathing and centering yourself.

There's only one good way to fall asleep.

None of that sounds remotely fun!

I did it when I was in college and it was tough. These days I'm brutal. It does work though and you have a lot more energy and a much more restful sleep. Sure what's best for you always sucks :)

And you do get a good nights sleep if you follow all those. But that takes discipline which i sadly lack.

I don't know if falling asleep is to be fun heyday :p

But there are ways to fall asleep that don't suck and sure you'll feel great the next morning.

My main problem was coffee. I'd drink ten cups and be wired. Then I read up on this thing called adrenal fatigue and convinced myself I had it.

I heard of that. Does coffee cause that?
The problem is with staying up late is dragging your ass out of your bed in the morning. Thats not fun.

Are ye even gone to bed?

I can't remember exactly but I think it contributes. There was no sense to the coffee I drank. I had to bleach my teeth for weeks to get the colour back.

Still ten cups of coffee cant be good for anyone. If i drink one cup i will feel wired all day. Sometimes i need a cup though to motivate me.

That's mad. Coffee doesnt have huge effect on me at all

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,877 ✭✭✭heyday30

I'll have two coffees in the morning straight away. That'd be it for the day. Anymore I get very jittery.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 8,867 ✭✭✭eternal

I drank loads of that Coke Life and I can't sleep now.

Still waterford isnt a bad old spot, you could be stuck in worse places.
Still annoying though when you had planned on going and were looking forward to it.

Ah tom. Its terrible relying on others. And they probably are off every weekend too.
Where you are prob like me. Have to book them off in advance. :(
im the only one in my family that works weekends.
Im after missing out on so many different things, cos they'll all decide if the weather is nice, to head off for the day.

My brothers Christmas present to my father was... A mug with a family picture of a family day out. Im the only person not in it. Even the mother of my future sister in law was in it.
That kinda was a kick in the teeth on Christmas day.

Hey try make the most of your weekend tom. Would you be interested in the military show in duncannon?
