Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Schwalbe marathon plus alternative?

Just wondering if there are any good alternatives to the Schwalbe marathon plus tyre in terms of puncture protection?

I'm having a little trouble finding the size I need (700 x 35c) in the local bike shops. Kind of would prefer to get one there rather than online if possible.

LBS offer me the Panaracer TourGuard Plus whenever I ask for a marathon plus tyre. Think I've had just the one puncture in the three years I've been using them. 700 x 35c and Stagg Cycles Lucan.

Specialized armadillo. Sigmasports haf them i got four for two bikes and also had them on older bike. Swear by them.

Don't think so, Marathon Supreme is a very similar tyre at 35, though pricey.

Vittoria Voyager Hyper perhaps. Fast and so far not let me down in 4000 km or so this year. Skittish in the wet though I'd say
