Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I too would like to know the answer to OP's query? what type of bike would even be most appropriate? hybrid/racing?

You'll struggle to find a decent racer for the budget you are talking about. May be worth considering a fixie/single speed if your journey is relatively flat - you'll probably get the best value out of something like that with drop-bar options available (and easy/cheap maintenance, with less to go wrong than on a multi-speed bike)

Not a lot of knowledge to do with bikes but I would suggest something not too flashy that will attract an attention of a would be bike thief.
