Budget gravel for drive way

    Hi there I’m looking for recommendations for gravel for our new driveway. I don’t have a massive budget but still want it to look ok. It’s for a new build.

    If you look at "chippings" instead of "gravel" you will save money. The latter is roundy and you pay more for it. The former is actually more practical for a driveway as the rough edges hold it together better. Unless you want to be engaged in Zen-like gravel raking on an ongoing basis, I would personally go with the chipppings.

    Around here you can buy washed round stone for €10/ tonne collected in 10mm , 14mm and 20mm.
    Locally it's €12 delivered in a 30tonne load.
    A load would go a long way in a yard.
