Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been in and out of SHOP for over 3 years. If i had held on tighter i'd have made a lot more. Had over 100 shares at a cost average of $60 at one stage. But i'm more than happy with the returns since March.

AMAT is the stock he has bought recently after he sold out of AMD

He generally stocks to the following
    INTC
    AMD
    LRCX
    AMAT

Now UMC, he's now a short term trader, holds for a couple years and then cashes out and moves to the next one

Kodak Chairman Jim Continenza very fortuitously bought 46,737 shares of Kodak stock on June 23 at an average price of $2.22. Roughly a month later, that $103,575 investment is now worth more than $1.5 million.

So what? It's just the typical type of transaction for people in such positions and the fact that it's an odd lot would suggest it is most likely some kind of conversion on a benefits package.

Only Martha Steward does insider trading in public.

Yeah in my company, the transactions that get registered on Yahoo Finance etc are normally when a CEO/CFO takes their bonus in shares.

Think of all the shops, bars, hotels, apartments where people are going to not be able to pay rent in the next few years, where does that stop? Landlords who don't get paid, mortgages go into arrears = bank losses.

    Stay away from banks IMO

Bought a few of the dips today, top ups on existing successful holdings Peloton and StoneCo. Both were 5% down and the exchange rate is in our favour right now too.

What do people think of $INTC- I doubled down on the massive dip a few days ago, thinking I should cut the losses and go for $AMD.

As was listed previously stay away from intel and you missed the gravy train bump with AMD and TSMC but there may be still small gains to be made in them two.

Well if you are then you should appreciate that banking now a commodity industry and an unconsolidated one at that. The next step, the one we're waiting for is consolidation and downsizing of the industry until it is back to a profit generation situation again.

Can't see the consolidation happening. Regulators are afraid of too big to fail banks. They broke up a number after the crash (rbs, Fortis etc).

Brookfield renewable seems to have split itself into two companies today. Fwiw. I wouldn't know the potential benefit or dis benefit to the shareholder who now has two sets of shares to the same previous value. Maybe bad insofar as there'll be double the transaction fees to sell off whenever...

I had 100 percent brookfield renewable yesterday.
Today is 80 percent brookfield renewable partners Ltd and 20 percent brookfield renewable corporation class.
Again, not sure what that really means to me, but that's how it seems to be.

Yes now i read about the split... For every 4 bep you get a bepc

If you hold not dividable by 4 they will pay money back.

So now it explains the drop.

The problem is that im holding them in tradidng212 and bepc is not available.

Do you have them in degiro?

I don't follow this company by, no that is not what is happening... here is an article on it.

It is important to understand that Brookfield Renewable is a partnership not a corporation, which is why the structure is so complex - it needs to maintaining the tax advantage for the members of the partnership.

Membership of the partnership will receive shares in a subsidiary company at no expense to them, it addition to their current share of the partnership. When it all washes out the value as opposed to the holdings should be to their advantage. Since both the shareholders in TerraForm Power Inc and the partners voted for this, I would assume there is a significant financial interest in it for them.
