Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Following a summer of walking past my pride & joy and instead loading up the familywagon, I have decided that I can't justify keeping the Merc anymore. And lets just say, the family is only going to get bigger... and the familywagon needs updating.

2/3 short runs a week, and a bigger run every once in a while just isn't right for such a trooper of a car.

    3845138894_a57ece1b7a.jpg

I've priced her, imo, very reasonably at €7,500... details here:
    http://www.carzone.ie/search/Mercedes-Benz/SL-Class/350/200935195007593/advert?channel=CARS

And loads of very detailed images here:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/conordavid/sets/72157621984151267/

She looks great, but has a couple of water leaks, tatty bits, and some idiosyncrasies - none of which have prevented me or the previous owners enjoying the car. Never, ever let me down in 2 1/2 years apart from a drained battery.

    Any queries just shout!

I've a 1993 190E 2.0 Auto soon to go on sale (this weekend).Daily driver, 78k miles, almandine red mettallic, full leather, electric windows all round, air con, electric sun roof, alloys, driver's air bag, ABS, cd player (have original radio cassette if required) partial service history, tax to 01/2010. Cherished by myself, no rust, serviced by Peter Sheridan in Rathgar since I have owned it.

I'm selling it to pay for a cheap commercial 4x4 and it kills me to do so. If you're interested PM me. Will have pictures at the weekend.

    I'm looking for around €3k

Forgot to mention I need to get it NTC'd and will do this prior to any sale.

    Thanks for reading.

Can somebody help me out here...

I'm looking for something cheap and reliable with NCT. I only need this car to get me through a year of college so if the NCT is until May/June next year that's grand.

I don't care too much what it looks like to be honest. Anything bar Cinquacento/Matiz considered.

My budget is 600/700 euro. Am I asking for too much?!

I picked up an early W126 at the weekend... actually got it for its wheels. The rest of the car may already be taken, but if you have no luck getting parts elsewhere give me a shout because I am not 100% sure what will be done with the car.

I might be interested in the GTI, do you have a french tax book, a carte gris, they call it.

Have a 99 S320 Merc (W220), would be interested in a deal /swop for Merc 500 / 560 SL OR something smaller than the S with a V8 in it - reason, the S JUST fits in the garage but would prefer to have something in there I can walk around instead of moving it in and out everytime when i want to get something.

  • Registered Users Posts: 378 ✭✭salysol

just took some pics,as you can see the car is in reasonable condition, it drives well,i would prefer to swop for another classic,as in order to sell it i would need to put a price on it,that i feel would put it out of an enthusists reach.
but if i don't get any serious offers,i will put it on ebay at the weekend.
