Cobblers' FA Cup first-round tie away to National League South side Oxford City has been moved to Monday, November 9, and will be broadcast live on BT Sport. Kick off 7:45pm

Amazed this hot tie hasn't been made pay for view, because if you like aimless hoofball and terrible defending, boy are you in for a treat. Oxford City might be okay though.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Drink it in lads, still 45 minutes to endure enjoy.

We're not usually quite as sh*t as that. And a couple of the lads playing were same level/worse than Oxford City last season (Horsfall and Korboa). Ricky Holmes on the bench hasn't played for nearly 2 years, so exciting times ahead.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I've watched plenty of dire Cobblers performances over the years but I think this wins the accolade of worst ever. Abysmal from them all.

Liverpool with a very strong side out against Villa's kids. Strange that Klopp didn't seize the opportunity to rest some players

Liverpool should win this match cause most of those kids have be in bed for 9 0 clock.

    Ye will be fine

Wasnt he whinging recently about the schedule of games and the risks to players health? He really cant complain about it anymore considering the bunch of children Villa have fielded, was the ideal opportunity to rest some / all of the key players.

Whatever about starting lads like chamberlain or thiago to get a bit of sharpness but fabinho, mane, salah or wijnaludm have not missed many games have they? It will be serious egg on his face if ye cannot beat the underage disco that is the villa team tonight. I wonder is he trying to send a message to the board by risking the main players in such an inconsequential match?

    Chorley 1 up against Derby

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,239 ✭✭✭Jimbob1977

FA Cup Third Round day used to be a major date in the English football calendar.

Top flight clubs playing on bad pitches in tiny grounds.

Heroes like Tim Buzaglo, Cliff Hercules, Ronnie Radford, Micky Thomas etc.

Unfortunately the Champions League extension in 1997 diminished the competition. The further expansion to four teams was the death knell.

I know it is against UEFA rules, but it would be great to give the 4th Champions League spot to the FA Cup winner.

Feel sorry for Chorley fans. They go on the best run in their 138-year history, the kind of stuff fans would fantasise might happen one day, and then the fans not able to be there.

That may be true, but without Covid they wouldn't have been playing Derbys kids. Swings and roundabouts.

Judging by the videos of them all singing in the changing room after the win, they’re knackered if anyone is in there with Covid.

If Carlow man Padraig Amond scores tonight against Brighton he will become Ireland's greatest ever FA Cup goal scorer.

Right now he is level with Robbie Keane & Jon Walters.

That strike from all of 35 yards from Kengni for Marine off the bar was too sweet. Hart was beaten, any deviation and it probably would have gone under the bar.

    And now they're behind.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but they just mentioned on MOTD that the 'virtual' attendance at Marine v Spurs was more than 30,000, and I think more than 20,000 came from Spurs fans buying 'virtual' tickets (which I assume just means donating money really, unless they get something else from it).

    Class act from Spurs fans.
