Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

All, as you know, superthreads are causing some problems with the running of boards and the reason is that every 10th post on a thread, VBulletin implements a recount on the number of posts on it to make sure it's correct which has implications for the number of pages and so on. So we will be breaking superthreads into monthly increments where warranted. This is the first of them.

    Old thread here.

    Have fun.

Ipswich currently losing 6-1 and have had two men sent off which means that's two so far missing for our visit next week.

According to Duncan Castles we're working on a £1m+ deal for Henri Lansbury.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,476 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

    Yeah coverage starts at 1.

Be good to get Lansbury, but Arse may need him.

Big test today to see if we really have automatic promotion credentials, the midfield will be battle will be very interesting. They could play a 4-5-1, with Nolan playing in an advanced midfield position. This could mean that it'll be Brown's job(if playing) to stop his forward runs.

EDIT: YR saying that Brown could be injured....

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,024 ✭✭✭JokerD

With Brown out injured it most likely means that we'll have to play 4-4-2 as we don't have a recognised DM. Bruce could play there but he hasn't had any first team action in a while.

If they play with a 5 man midfield and us with a 4 then it'll be hard to win that battle especially with the experience they've got in there.

Also sounds like Forssell could be kept on, Grayson said he looked like his old self in the reserve game.

    Official Team News:
    Lonergan
    Lees
    O'Dea
    Kisnorbo
    White
    Snodgrass--Howson--Clayton--Gradel
    McCormack---Keogh

Gradel and Howson definitely back in, only two changes.

    West Ham United:
    Green
    O'Brien--Tomkins--Reid--Ilunga,
    Noble--Parker--Nolan--Collison--Taylor
    Cole

That's a very experienced midfield to go up against, especially with a 4-4-2. One of McCormack/Keogh will have to join up with the midfield I'd say.

Was Lee's afraid of scoring another own goal?

Good response since the goal, let's hope we don't get caught with another one. Should have never allowed them to score. Thrown-in, corner, another corner and goal.

Anyone got a decent stream? The one Im watching is full of ads..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,087 ✭✭✭fanzhiyidan

that sould have been a penalty.
Kisnorbo tried to pull his shirt off

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,024 ✭✭✭JokerD

We can really trouble these, next goal is vital. 4-4-2 looks like a good system. We just need to string a few more passes together.

Penalty!!! They're as dodgy as we are at the back

    Bah!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,087 ✭✭✭fanzhiyidan

why the hell wasn't snoddy or howson taking it?

    mccormack is invisible so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,024 ✭✭✭JokerD

Need to take those chances, now a stupid tackle by Clayton. Kisnorbo needs to relax. He'll give away a pen before the game is out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,024 ✭✭✭JokerD

Gradel was the peno taker last season and during pre-season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,087 ✭✭✭fanzhiyidan

that should have been a penalty too. White didn't get anything on the ball.

Kisnorbo will give away a penalty before the end of the game.
Any time the ball comes into the box he either has a good hold on cole's shirt or has both his hands around his waist.

clayton could have easily gone off for that challange.

That was a pen there on Cole and possibly one earlier too.

Riding our luck here, destined to get something out of this game :pac:

    Shocking penalty...

Got to say, this should be a top flight fixture.

  • Registered Users Posts: 113 ✭✭Tony_Yeboah

Missed the first 15 minutes but we seem to be playing quite well. We do look vulnerable on the break though.

Bit of look and we'll get a point out of this.

We responded well after conceding but need to make this pressure count!!

That's it, we could be taught a harsh lesson in having to take your chances today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 959 ✭✭✭pablodunlop

Clayton looking very tidy, could turn out to be a very good signing.

Cmon Leeds, get one back before HT

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,087 ✭✭✭fanzhiyidan

so, anyone think we should make changes at half time?

so, anyone think we should make changes at half time?

but sure who do ye bring on?

we have sam and nunez in an attacking role and who would ye take off? gradel is doing well, i always like to leave snoddy on

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,024 ✭✭✭JokerD

No, not at the moment, we should be at least level here on the balance of play. If that pen had of gone in then I think we'd be confident of going on to win it.

If we can get this to 1-1, they'll be really rattled.

Hopefully we change our kit.

so, anyone think we should make changes at half time?

Unless we have any decent strikers on the bench?? Don't believe we do.

Jesus, WH have John Carew on the bench. Wouldn't mind having him as an option!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Really enjoyable game and still anybody's game despite the early setback that Leeds endured.

Gradel's penalty was awful but he's been Leeds best player in the first half in my opinion.

Keogh has been quite decent too and looks well up for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,064 ✭✭✭✭event

like 3 of WH's midfield would walk into a lot of prem teams, serious amount of experience throughout the team

clayton really is a class act

wonder how much will we sell him for when he has 1 year left on his deal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 959 ✭✭✭pablodunlop

Hopefully we change our kit.

I kinda like it! Am I the only one?!
